Welcome to the ExamHack
As a participant in the Exam Hack, you will be expected to sit our online exam and cheat your way to success.
Whether you plan to sneak in notes, use a smart device, or find other ways to access information, remember: you’ll be closely monitored by one of our expert invigilators via video and audio. We’re confident in our systems so you’ll need a solid plan if you want to succeed! Once you have completed the exam (and hopefully cheated without being caught), you will need to provide us with a post-hack detailing your approach. This document will explain what you should include in this report.
What to Expect
- The test will be in British English and will not be translated into other languages
- The test has an 80 % pass mark
- You can still win the Exam Hack even if you fail the exam
- You will have 30 minutes to complete the test and no extra time can be organised
- The exam will consist of 30 general knowledge questions
- All questions will have single or multiple-choice answers
Prior to the 1st July 2025 you will receive candidate information emails outlining:
- How to access the VICTVS V3 app and website
- Your anonymised login details for the VICTVS V3 app and website
You will also be given your 30 minute test time slot and exam start time. This is when your creative hack will take place.
You must login to the platform at least 30 minutes before the exam takes place. If you fail to start the exam within 15 minutes of the exam start time, you will be disqualified.
How the Exam Session Will Work
VICTVS will send you details of your ‘exam persona’ (this will include a faux name and email address to protect your identity during the hack.) Your exam persona details will be sent to the email you used to register on the sign-up form.
- All further exam communications will be sent to your exam persona, including login details for the V3 platform
- You will log in to the V3 app and web browser using the exam persona provided to you by VICTVS and connect with your invigilator via your mobile device
- Pre exam checks will be conducted and your webcam and screenshare will be set up with your invigilator
- You will sit the exam on the VICTVS V3 platform and receive your score at the end of the exam
Exam Technical Requirements
To sit the online exam, you will need a laptop and mobile device that exceeds the specifications outlined below. Check that you meet the minimum system requirements.
The Post Exam Report and the Judging Process
After your exam hack session has taken place you will have 72 hours to submit a PDF report, slide deck or a 5 minute video presentation via the Exam Hack submission portal. We are looking for a report that includes screenshots, images, videos, diagrams – the more creative it is, the better!
The link to the submission portal will be sent to you once your test has been completed. If your document or video is not submitted within this time-frame, it will result in automatic disqualification and you will not qualify for the prize money or winning title.
Your attempt at cheating in the test (whether successful or not) will be marked out of 300 points by our experienced panel of judges. Please note: you are still able to win the prize money if you get caught cheating, or if you fail the test. The most important thing is your post-hack submission rationale document/video. This is where you tell us exactly what you planned and executed during your test session.
Your report and cheating attempt will be marked on the following three categories:
Presentation and Communication: 100 Points Max
Participants will need to effectively communicate and present their cheating method to the judges. Clear articulation of the process, rationale, and potential impact of the cheating strategy will be important in the evaluation. Reflection on limitations and failures will also be taken into consideration.
Execution and Effectiveness: 100 Points Max
Participants will be assessed on how well their cheating strategy was executed and whether it successfully helped them obtain the answers without getting caught.
Creativity and Innovation: 100 Points Max
Participants will be evaluated based on the originality and ingenuity of their cheating methods. Judges will look for unconventional and inventive ways to cheat that demonstrate a high level of creativity.
Also note that by competing in the Exam Hack, you grant VICTVS a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual and worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from and distribute and display your submissions in any media and marketing.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
Distributed-Denial-Of-Service (DDOS) attacks are completely banned and you will be automatically disqualified if you attempt one. Conducting a DDOS will also stop you from being able to creatively cheat your way through the exam and defeats the entire purpose of the challenge.
